What we collect and why

We collect the minimum needed for the site to work. No behavioral profiling, no data selling. Each item below has a specific purpose and a legal basis under Brazil's LGPD.

EMAIL: To send the Blense Weekly newsletter. Consent can be revoked at any time.
IP ADDRESS: To prevent abuse and automated requests. Discarded within 60 minutes.
QUESTIONS TO CIEL: Processed to generate the assistant's reply. Not stored afterwards.
PREFERENCES: Theme and language, stored locally in your browser.
STATISTICS: Aggregated and anonymous access metrics.

Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell or rent data. We share only what is strictly necessary with vendors that perform specific technical functions: Google (Gemini) for the assistant, Kilo and Upstash Redis for caching and rate limiting, Resend for newsletter delivery, and Supabase for the database.

Google's free tier may use submitted content to improve models. For that reason we recommend not entering personal or sensitive data in questions to the assistant.

International data transfers

Some vendors process data on servers in the United States. Transfers happen under contractual clauses with safeguards equivalent to those required by Brazil's ANPD, and vendors maintain documented GDPR and CCPA compliance.

Cookies and local storage

Local storage only holds your theme preference and is never sent to servers. Google AdSense and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies, managed by those services. Full details are in the Cookie policy.

Retention and disposal

EMAILS: Kept until subscription is cancelled.
IP ADDRESSES: Discarded within 60 minutes.
QUESTIONS TO CIEL: Not stored after the reply.
LOCAL PREFERENCES: Persist until you clear your browser data.

Security

We adopt reasonable technical and organizational measures: HTTPS across the entire site, restricted access to databases, and vendors with recognized certifications. In case of a relevant incident, we notify data subjects and Brazil's ANPD as required by law.

Your rights (LGPD)

You can, at any time, confirm the existence of processing, access your data, correct incomplete information, request anonymization or deletion, ask for portability, and revoke consent. Just write to the contact below — we reply within 15 days.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be flagged on this page, with the revision date updated at the top. Changes that expand personal data processing will be communicated by email to subscribers.

This policy is governed by Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018) and applicable Brazilian legislation.
